Ramsbottom Food and Craft Festival

Well, it's almost time for the next food festival being held at Ramsbottom Civic Hall this coming weekend.

It's on 19th December (Sunday), and starts at 10.30am until 4pm.

Please come and visit us, and sample some of our delicious, and now award winning cupcakes.  The winning designs will be available to purchase from our pop up shop.

We look forward to seeing you all!

Award Winning Cupcakes!

This weekend, we have been awarded 2nd place in the prestigious Fair Cake's christmas cupcake competition!  We entered our cakes on a whim - these cakes were an actual order for a children's party.  We never thought that we could ever win, since we haven't been up and running for very long.

Here are the cupcakes:

The complete set of cupcakes can be seen on Flickr:

We are so overwhelmed, and over the moon!

Up, up and away!!

Well, the website is well and truly up and running!  How exciting is that?!!  Which means that I now have to market myself as soon as possible.

I have leaflets, so look out for one dropping through your door very soon!

Thanks to everyone who has supported me so far, especially to my family who must be so fed up of the constant cupcake talk and future ideas.

If you have time, please visit the website:

Busy few weeks, sorry!

It's been a bit hectic over the last few week, so sorry for not posting anything for a while.

Me and my mum held a stall at the Ramsbottom food festival last weekend, and we had a ball meeting all our new customers!  So much so, we have signed up to do the same event at Christmas - keep your eyes peeled for lovely bespoke christmas cuppies!!

My mum helped out too and was amazing!:

Sorry for the bad picture - Dad's thumb I'm afraid!

We had a few left over, and they went down a storm with the trick or treaters!

Besides the usual simple flavours, I did a large Hallow'een tower with 96 cupcakes, and a few stands with specialised cupcakes on them:

This week I have been doing a Dr Who Themed birthday, big cake and little cakes:

Let's hope the lucky little boy loves them!

Finally, here are some fashion cupcakes I made for my sister's birthday.  I had fun making these, and will be making these for a fashion show in a few eeks time:

Out damn'd spot, out I say!!!!

This week, I have made a large batch of Macbeth themed cupcakes for my son's school, as they have been studying the play all term.

According to George, they went down a storm (well the kids were noshing away when they came out of school!).

My nephew has been very poorly this week, so I thought a box of get well soon cupcakes might help!!

And finally, here is a picture of the "99" Cupcakes also made this week.  The kids will have a sugar rush after eating one of these!!!

Get ready for Halloween and Bonfire Night!

Halloween is a coming, quicker than you might think!  This weekend, I have been busy in the kitchen creating samples for the deluxe and standard ranges of cupcakes for both Halloween and Bonfire night.

The deluxe boxes take alot longer to handcraft, where as the standard box decorations are a little easier and take less time.

If you would like to order a box, then please email me, with at least a week's notice (especially for the deluxe box).

Welcome to my brand spanking new blog!

Hello!  And welcome to my new blog, where you will read the highs and lows of my daily duties as a newly formed cake decorator.

I have been making cakes, and mainly cupcakes for the last six months, and decided to make a go of it as a business after much encouragement from friends and family.  The orders aren't rolling in yet, but I am hoping they will, in time, after word gets out!  So, for the time being, I am spending my husband's hard earned cash on cutters and ingredients practising on family members, and selling the odd box here and there.

The website is currently under construction, so I am hoping that will drum up some business once it is up and running.

I hope you enjoy reading about my cakes, and looking at the pictures I have uploaded (eventually, once I get the hang of it all!)
